TOUR FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN TO THE ATHLETICS CENTER “QAZAQSTAN”

As part of the career guidance program and the development of youth tourism, the annual social project “Career Guidance Tours for Schoolchildren of Grades 7–11 and First-Year College Students of Astana” continues.

The purpose of the project is to broaden young people’s understanding of modern and in-demand professions, as well as to provide information on existing educational and career opportunities in various sectors of the economy.

In 2025, the project aims to cover more than 12,500 schoolchildren and students. One of the destinations for visits was the Athletics Center “Qazaqstan” — the largest sports complex in the capital.

As part of the excursion program, 35 tenth-grade students of School No. 14 of Astana visited the center on an introductory tour. During the visit, the students explored the sports facility’s infrastructure, learned about its history, and became acquainted with its daily activities.

The head of the sports department of the complex, Akhat Nurmanov, addressed the participants with a welcome speech, providing detailed information about the center’s functional capabilities and answering the students’ questions. In addition, the chief engineer of the complex, Sungat Saduov, presented the technical aspects of the facility, demonstrating the operation of the building’s engineering systems.

This event is being implemented in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which declared 2025 the Year of Vocational Professions. Holding career guidance tours helps foster young people’s interest in vocational and technical specialties and plays an important role in developing a system of professional self-determination for the younger generation.
